Golang Job: Operations (Crypto)

THE ROLE

A leading algorithmic trading company are expanding its trading operations team to accommodate a 24/7 model to support crypto trading, which operates around the clock.

While the primary focus of the role will be trade support, we envisage you will also contribute to teamwide projects. Our team ethos is to develop robust and scalable solutions to improve the efficiency of the team and its processes, so the role will also involve automation to a large extent. With the guidance of the team, candidates will improve and develop new processes using a range of technical skills such as Golang and SQL.

Notably, while cryptocurrencies will be the primary focus of this role, your role will cover various other asset classes and operations run as a global team.

Ideally, they are looking for technically minded candidates with enthusiasm, initiative and the ability to work autonomously. The role is an opportunity to contribute to a small team with new ideas and make a real and positive impact to the team itself, as well as the firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise trading strategies and provide first-level support to ensure the smooth operation of the business from Friday to Monday (including Saturday and Sunday)
• Risk management of the global portfolio across multiple asset classes throughout the day
• Use trading metrics and data analysis methods in decision-making to improve existing strategies
• Conduct preliminary research on new strategy ideas; * Work with quant research team to provide real-time feedback on model optimization.
• Assist with project work related to market expansion.
• Collaborate with developers to improve automated tools for trading monitoring and alerting of internal and external anomalies.
• Coordinate with brokers/exchanges, trading operations, and the back office on trade/position reconciliation, risk limits, and margin requirements.

Salary: £50,000 TO £70,000

Role: Hybrid working 2 days at home 2 days in office
